GTC developed this short paper, explaining the characteristics of satellite-based broadband services, some time ago. It became apparent that not all satellite services were created equal, and that explaining the differences was difficult as it involves very complex theoretical issues - it is rocket science, after all!
GTC developed this short paper in attempt to dispell some of the myths surrounding the effects weather can have on wireless data networks - and how microwave ovens cook food in the process.
GTC has published this short technical essay describing where it is possible to introduce and encourage competition in fibre-to-the-premise networks, and looks at why Passive Optical Network (PON) technology may prove to be a barrier to truly open network access.Largely a technical treatise, the paper identifies the four keep points in an open optical network, and explains how competition can be promoted within and between each layer.
